Each Ventura blueprint is personally designed and tested by the builder with a focus on minimizing wasted space, achieving a more usable and natural flow, and providing a pleasing and balanced appearance both inside and out. We challenge you to print off the list below and contrast a Ventura home with homes in other areas.

TEN RULES OF A VENTURA HOME

1. A Ventura home always boasts a balanced layout, inside and out, with an abundance of correctly sized windows and natural light. Homes are walked and sight lines checked to eliminate catastrophes like a living room couch staring at shoes in a mud room...

2. We lean towards large rectangular master suites that produce a deeper and more pleasing appearance and allow for better furniture planning than a same sized square one.

3. We design our square-shaped master bathrooms for an airy feel and maximum comfort –no long and tight “shotgun” master bathrooms.

4. Our master closets and kitchen pantries always have face-framed shelving for an elevated look instead of the pitted ends of typical low-grade shelving.

5. Many of our plans have enlarged 4-car garages that can accommodate workshops or project cars while still leaving plenty of room for everyday parking.

6. Most of our plans include a butler’s pantry prep area. This high-end feature creates a semi-enclosed work area for the microwave and coffee maker and allows for a dynamic standalone hood above the range for a functional yet upscale kitchen appearance perfect for both cooking and entertaining.

7. We always have a gas range because everyone knows gas is far superior to electric for cooking, with faster heating and better fine-tuning adjustment.

8. We only install high efficiency HVAC – no flues sticking out of our roofs and when possible, the AC unit is set on an elevated bracket fixed to the foundation so it does not settle in 5 years.

9. Every home comes standard with a front and side yard irrigation system.

10. We NEVER.. EVER.. put a support post in the middle of our garage – instead we use oversized steel beams to free span so there is a ton of room and no car door dings.
